Card Condition Guide

Condition matters when buying raw cards. This guide explains the general terms MOSA Collect may use and what those descriptions are intended to communicate.

Listing details take priority. Condition is subjective, so review the images and the condition notes provided on the individual product page before purchasing. A raw-card description is not a promise of any future third-party grade.

Raw card condition descriptions

We use the following terms as practical buying guidance. Normal manufacturing characteristics—such as centering, print lines, surface marks, or edge and corner imperfections—may be present even on newly released cards.

Near Mint or Better

A clean-appearing card that may still have minor corner, edge, surface, print, or centering imperfections.

Excellent

A card with noticeable but moderate wear, which may include corner softening, edge wear, surface marks, or print defects.

Very Good

A card with more pronounced wear or defects. Important visible issues will be identified in the listing whenever practical.

Lower Grade or Altered

A card with substantial wear, damage, trimming, writing, creasing, or another material issue. Any known concern will be stated clearly.

Graded cards

Graded cards are sold in the third-party holder identified in the listing. The grading company, grade, and certification number will be provided when applicable. The holder may show light storage or handling wear unless a material issue is disclosed.

Autographs and memorabilia

Manufacturer-certified autograph and memorabilia details are based on the information printed on the card. Any authentication or guarantee is provided by the named manufacturer or grading company.
