How MOSA Collect Builds Product Guides

MOSA Collect researchers and a collector discussing a product guide in a sports memorabilia shop

Sports card releases can be difficult to compare. Details change before release, checklists are revised, and box-opening experiences vary. MOSA Collect’s Product Guides are built to make those differences visible.

Release details

We aim to record the manufacturer, release year, sport, configuration, stated box contents, notable inserts and parallels, source links, and the date we last verified the details. We label unconfirmed information and update it when a reliable source becomes available.

Checklists

We identify the source and distinguish an official checklist from a preliminary list or our own summary. We do not present an incomplete checklist as final. Meaningful corrections will be noted after we verify them.

Previews and reviews

A firsthand review means we opened or directly examined the product. We state how many boxes we examined and the limits of that sample. A product preview based only on announced information is labeled as a preview. Opinions and predictions are identified as such.

Commercial links

Some guides may include links to places to explore a product. MOSA Collect may earn a commission from qualifying purchases through affiliate links. We disclose that relationship near the links. Affiliate opportunities do not determine our assessments.

Corrections

Have a source, checklist correction, or release you want covered? Contact MOSA Collect. We would rather correct a detail than leave collectors with inaccurate information.
